Cris, as she liked to call herself, was walking down a long deserted dusty trail...
The trees were cluttered and in large groups here, everything grew well, the air was just the right temperature. Yet no food grew. There was never an edible plant in sight, and when there was, it was either dangerous or not particularly attractive to the tongue. Most were both. Water was scarce and never came in anything but a dirty puddle, perhaps a plant holding water, but that was all. Even the puddles were scarce. Cris had left her village two days a go, but it felt like forever. She had lived off those puddles and dangerous plants. She feared she would grow sick soon, or get a finger snapped off from a venus fly trap, or worse. Cris was terribly hungary, and extremely thirsty, but the ritual was not done yet. [ Author's Note: Please read the prologue to understand this part...]
Finally Cris saw a clearing in the trees. Finally... Maybe there will be some game, She thought. Cris got a bow and arrow out of her pack, she had not used them since she had entered this forsaken land. Weary in case it -if there was anything- was dangerous (Thinking that may be why she had seen no game so far), Cris crept forward only to sigh in relief, yet frowning at the same time. She was relieved there was no monster waiting-
"Monster! Ha!" she laughed at herself. "There's no monsters in this world."
Yet she was also a bit upset. She had hoped for meat, yet this clearing was as empty as the rest of the woods. Except for one thing. It almost escaped her notice, how, cris was not sure. She had very good vision and memory, and this was something strange. It was a cottage with it's behind half missing. Other than that it seemed a normal cottage, a mini-garden growing fruit and vegetables in flourish. A small fountain was in the middle. Cris's mouth watered, and she rushed over to the garden. Wait, Cris thought, stopping in her tracks, These plants all look well tended to. This strange place must be inhabited! I can't just go around like a crazed maniac wrecking everyones gardens! Cris's face reddened. She straitened up. She would just knock on the door and politely ask to eat and drink, if she had to. Cris walked up to the door and knocked, as dignified as she could be.

The door almost immediately opened, revealing a woman in elaborate, loose loose blue gowns, a pretty brown cat in her hands. The woman's hair was a beautiful shade of blonde. Everything about her made cris looked down at herself. She wore boy's breeches and running shoes. Her top was covered with a loose mint-coloed greenshirt, a tight sky-colored bluevest over that. And at her waist was her large belt, where her dagger and belt knife was sheathed. Across her back was straps for her bow and arrows to be attached. With another look at the woman's hair, Cris pulled on her own, it was a dark, shiny brown, but it somewhat lagged it's pretty so close to the woman. Now it was dirty from her travel. She had pulled her hair into a pony tail for her travels, only 2 thin braids of her hair were out of the well kept pony tail. It was the style woman were supposed to use on their journey, and they would wear their hair down after return, but the two braids would remain as a memory. Though the pony tail was well kept, leaves were tangled in it. In vain, Cris brushed a few leaves out and tucked the braids behind either ear. "Hello." she greeted meekly. Astonishment danced across the woman's face.

Otherwise on the story....
A prologue was added to give things more sense in the "About" section.

You might notice some major RECONSTRUCTION going here. For instance, the story will now be in 3rd person, much easier for me to write. I have deleted all chapters and will be starting from scratch. I didn't like the way i was pulling the story, and the characters weren't how i wanted them. When i started this a year again it was only my second attempt at a Young Adult Fantasy Chapter Book. and my first with 2nd person. So i still have the plot lines in my mind, the story will turn out the same, it's just a few details on characters are being changed.
And yes, i finally decided on a gender for Cris. Female. Sorry guys, but i can relate best to females, males i would have to base off people i've met, male authors, and male author's male characters. You can see how this would get hectic. So cris is a girl. I was going to reveal that at the end of the 'you' version somebody saying "hey, you! girl!" or "have you seen her? That cris?" but i realized i couldn't go the whole book without revealing genders. Please, that was a year ago, Don't judge me! >_< ;) I also noticed there wasn't many male characters in the pic section. Google isn't great. Most fantasy characters are girls, online anyway, and unless you want Link from LoZ in the story, you'll just have to deal. And to tell the truth, last year i wasn't thinking much about guy characters. I was fairly new to fantasy back then. Now i've done my 'research' (fun research, for once) and my horizons have broadened, with it FR. You might see dark elves, and other creatures in the future.
To newcomers: I try to be serious, but i'm often not. You might see me show something more with a smilie once in a while. :D
Note to longtime readers: Yes, i now know that creatures like Stella already exist in the fantasy world. Werecats and such. But Aniazedas aren't werecats, you'll see.
